Scrap Happy Traveller

Tonight we'll walk over that bridge, past the sand coloured buildings to Marina Walk, in an area known as Jumeira Beach. This is the seafront and there is now a whole string of restaurants and shops along there. When I first came to Dubai, there was not a restaurant to be seen there. In fact one of the hotels we stayed at has been demolished and replaced by a carpark! I'm looking forward to a lovely dinner tonight, in the open air. We'll drop into the Duabai Marina Yatch Club on our way for Happy Hour, as there is no wine served at the outdoor restaurants. We feel quite safe walking around here at night.
